Q1: What is an election? What type of election do we have in New Zealand? an election is when people vote for the new leader. Q:2 Why do we have elections in New Zealand?       Who thinks they shouldn’t be here on Mondays!! Do you know what’s bad about 2 day weekends ? Adults don’t get enough rest and time with their families.Some students don’t go to school on Mondays because they don’t want to be at school five days p.w. My dad works 6 days p.w and sometimes 7 and he sometimes come home sick. Parents sometimes don’t have don’t have enough time or energy to spend with their kids,like taking them to movies or fishing on summer or anywhere else. If they had a 3 day weekend they would have the time to do so.        Imagine if we all had a 3day weekend what would you do with that much time? I would probably use that time rather doing nothing at all.Teachers would certainly enjoy a 3day weekend from students talking and not listening. Going through the war 1935-1945 It’s the year 1935 when world war 2 started. Grandma was just in her teens. She was really scared of the Japanese army bombing the whole country and killing many innocent people. Brave soldiers risking their lives to protect the citizens of the Philippines. Grandma was really scared she and other people were forced to hide in tunnels or sewers just to be safe from the Japanese. The Philippines was not really the Japanese’ target it was America but the Americans were too strong for the Japanese. Grandma lived five years in the tunnels that the city mayor give supplies to so they don’t get cold or hungry in the very cold tunnel. The whole war ended in the year 1945. The surviving people saw grandma and the others emerge from below safe and sound.
